Just off the top of my head, Gorbachev was involved when the ark of the earth (or some such name) was brought out carrying the environmental ten commandments meant to undermine the “absolute claims” of Christianity (as they put it). Gorbachev said, “Cosmos is my God. Nature is my God.”
